desktop/laptop?
YES.
You can install a single user license of GoldMine 6.0 on any Windows®
98/SE/ME/2000/XP, Pentium® 166MHZ (or equivalent) PC that supports
Internet Explorer 6.0 or higher, 800x600 SVGA display or higher, with 32 MB RAM
and 65 MB free hard disk or higher, and begin using it in under five minutes.
Can I use GoldMine as part of a team on a network with multiple desktops?
YES.
You can install a network license of GoldMine for the total number of users that
will be logged in at any one time and ensure that your entire team shares the
same database.
If you are installing GoldMine on a network, you can share your data
using a peer-to-peer architecture by installing on Windows®
98/SE/ME/2000/XP or using a server-based architecture by installing to a Windows®
2000, Novell or Linux server, then
simply creating a shortcut on the workstations to launch GoldMine from the host
system. There is no need to install
GoldMine on each workstation, simplifying the administration.
Can I use GoldMine if part of my team is on the
network, but part of the team works in another location, or travels frequently?
Answer:
YES. You can install a
network license of GoldMine for the total number of users that will be logged in
at any one time at the main office, plus those working remote (i.e., those that
work from a home/satellite office, or are mobile).
For the users that work in
another location or that are on the road often, you can create GoldMine
"sub-licenses" for their desktop/laptop systems, which are not part of the main
office's network, Master GoldMine license.
In order to ensure that your entire team shares the same database, the
remote users can "synchronize" their local copy (sub-license) of GoldMine, via
the Internet, modems, etc., with your main office's, network copy (Master
license) of GoldMine.
GoldMine includes
built-in manual synchronization tools, as well as an add-on product called
GoldSync®, which provides automated, unattended server management of
synchronization for three or more users.
Can I import my current data, or current Contact Manager, to GoldMine?
YES.
GoldMine can import ASCII, DBF, XML, SQL and SDF file types.
In addition, Success Solutions LLC has experience importing data from
various contact managers into Goldmine.
Can I customize GoldMine?
YES.
GoldMine has the ability to create, edit and delete fields, screens, and HTML
pages, define lookup lists for data entry, customize toolbars and menus, set

(compatible with Palm OS 3.x to 4.0.1, and Pocket PC/ WindowsCE 3.x to 2002), so
that you will always have access to the most current information.
Can I use GoldMine with Outlook?
YES.
GoldMine provides a Synchronization Wizard with support to map calendar
activities and contacts to/from GoldMine and Microsoft® Outlook.
In addition, you can display and gain access to your personal Outlook
folders from within the GoldMine E-mail Center.
How do I decide if I need GoldMine or one of its
